Customer Challenge:

One of kostklip's long-time customers already had a shelf edge strategy with kostklip®, but as the company grew and new fixtures were introduced, it meant more and more different ticket moldings were required.

In addition to different fixtures, there were additional needs for different colored parts throughout the store.

Using 68 different ticket moldings created confusion and chaos with purchasing, warehousing and managing such a complex program.

Kostklip's challenge was to reduce 68 SKUs to as few as possible, while providing a uniform shelf edge throughout the store.

Faced with this SKU reducing challenge that was required to work on different fixtures from Hussmann®, Hill-Phoenix®, Kysor/Warren®, Lozier®, Madix®, BOF, Metro® and many more unique profiles, kostklip® was able to develop a new innovative program; kostklip's Flex Series.
Kostklip's Solution:

Through consultation and assessment, design and store testing, the new Flex Series program helped kostklip's customer move from 68 SKUs to less than ten. This allowed the customer to experience a savings greater than 30% in management costs, allowing the customer to redirect their savings to other areas of the business.

By developing kostklip's Flex Series program based on this customers' needs, kostklip® was able to assist the customer achieve a new and inviting look to their shelf edge, while reducing SKU count.
What is Flex Series?

Kostklip's Flex Series shelf edge labelling system is built around the premise of an "adaptable" or "flexible" product that can be used throughout the store. Flex Series includes two product lines, kostklip's FlexChannel® shelf edge ticket moldings and FlexKlip® adapters.

Kostklip's ClearGrip™ FlexChannel® is an innovative, one-size-fits-all price channel ticket molding that helps retailers reduce SKUs when implementing a shelf edge labeling program in their store or chain.

The built-in channel on the back of the clear, flexible window can hold colored shelf strips, CPG branding, or planogram strips. Add color inserts to seasonal sections or different departments in your store without having to order custom colored ticket moldings.

In some cases a retailer may have to purchase several different back leg sizes to ensure the proper fit for each shelf.

Kostklip's ClearGrip™ FlexChannel® ticket moldings can be easily cut with scissors so you don't have to carry additional low volume SKUs.

For those areas of the store that do not have a standard C-channel, kostklip® developed FlexKlip® shelf edge adapters.

FlexKlip® is a 4 part adapter program, consisting of a Large Ratchet, Small Ratchet, Wire Fence and Dual Angle ADA. By using kostklip's FlexKlip® adapter program, you can create a consistent c-channel throughout the store.

Kostklip® has also developed a special tool, which allows store employees to easily cut down any of these adapters to the perfect length needed, reducing the need for additional lengths and SKUs.
