Duration: Full-Time, Permanent

Role Overview

Drawing on your outstanding customer account handling skills, you will qualify customer needs, and provide product solutions with an outstanding customer focused attitude.   An understanding of the retail environment and the marketing of products to consumers will be a huge advantage. The position is subject to change and will grow with the candidate’s ability. 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities shall include but not be limited to:

  • Build and maintain customer account relationships through a strong product knowledge, insightful relationship handling, and the ability to understand the retail environment
  • Troubleshoot client inquiries and communicate innovation/solution 
  • Handle all order-related problems and issues (i.e. production lead time, price difference, order tracking, custom product, etc) seeking direction from Manager as needed
  • Perform order processes (create new account, order entry, request grey file)
  • Ensure work procedures are followed and report of any deviation to direct report
  • Cross functional partnerships to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer experience
  • Project manage large value orders and custom opportunities
  • Ability to read floor plans and identify shelf types to recommend optimal shelf edge solution is a plus
  • Analyze and resolve customer complaints
  • Recommend products and/or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction, increase account sales potential, and engage in new product development
  • Follow sales inquiries, quotes and orders through to completion using CRM/ERP software, maintain timely and relevant information and track sales
  • Correspond with customers and Operations on issues such as: stock status, ship dates, method of payment, and proof of delivery
  • Support Outside Sales team with Top Accounts through weekly meetings, order entry, grey file creation, inventory stocking programs, annual pricing review and account strategy for growth
  • Occasional travel to retail stores to look for product application, spot competitive opportunities and present solutions to customers
  • Address in-bound sales lead coming through the sales mail box or phone
  • Attend ECOM customer inquiries through the company chat platform
  • Process credit card payment for ECOM customers and coordinate with the Finance Department
  • Meet walk-in customers and address their inquiries by providing a suitable solution
  • Prepare product sample kits

Qualifications

  • Computer literate (MS Office and CRM tools)
  • Poses effective written and verbal English communication skills 
  • Self-motivated and positive 'go getter'
  • Accurately comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Diploma in business and marketing preferred
  • Strong business acumen and communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Exceptional communication skills and well-developed interpersonal skills

Starting Salary: $50k-55K + Commission
